Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern the agreement between Z DOES DESIGN ("we," "us," or "our") and you ("client," "customer," or "you") regarding the use of our graphic design services. By accessing our website, booking our services, or making payments, you confirm your acceptance of these terms. Please review them carefully.
Refund Policy
Due to the labor and software costs involved, all design work is non-refundable. We also reserve the right to terminate projects if inappropriate, rude, or intolerant language is used.
Payment Terms
- Full payment is required before any work is started.
- If additional services are requested after the initial agreement, they will be billed separately.
Cancellation Policy
- If you cancel a project after work has started, any payments made are non-refundable.
Design Process Requirements
To deliver the best possible design for your business, a comprehensive and clear design brief is essential. This brief should include:
-
Logos or designs you admire
-
Color schemes or palettes
-
Fonts, shapes, textures, or backgrounds
-
Mood boards, pictures, or inspirations
-
Target audience details
-
Any other relevant information
Without this information, we cannot proceed with your design project.
It is your responsibility to ensure the brief is clear and complete from the start.
Any significant additions or changes to the original brief after work has begun may result in additional charges to cover time and resources already spent.
File Ownership & Deliverables
- Final files for manuals will be delivered in PDF format. Any Logo work is PNG format.
- If any other file format is required, please inform us before work begins.
Online Payment Provider Fees
If you choose to take payments through Wix Payments, PayPal, Stripe, Klarna, or any other payment provider connected to your Wix website, please be aware that all providers charge their own transaction fees when a sale is made. These fees are set by each provider and are deducted directly from your sales. They are not included in the website design package and are not charged by Z DOES DESIGN.
Typical fees include:
• Wix Payments around 2.1 percent plus 20p per transaction
• PayPal around 2.9 percent plus a fixed fee
• Stripe around 1.5 percent to 2.9 percent plus a fixed fee depending on the payment method
All fees can vary based on location, card type, and any updates made by the provider. You are responsible for reviewing the fee structure of your chosen payment provider.
Wix Website Design Services
By purchasing a Wix website design from Z DOES DESIGN, you acknowledge that additional costs are required to keep your website live. These costs include, but are not limited to, a Wix subscription plan, domain registration, and premium features or apps if required. These fees are payable directly to Wix and are not included in our design service.
Wix’s business plans:
- Light Plan (£9/month) – Basic site with 2GB storage, free domain (1st year), no Wix ads, and 2 collaborators.
- Core Plan (£16/month) – E-commerce enabled, 50GB storage, online payments, abandoned cart recovery, and 5 collaborators.
- Business Plan (£25/month) – 100GB storage, more marketing tools, automated sales tax (100 transactions), and 10 collaborators.
- Business Elite (£119/month) – Unlimited storage, advanced e-commerce, priority support, and custom analytics.
Please note that prices are subject to change and may not include VAT. For the most current information, visit Wix's official pricing page.
Calendar Use and Booking Features
If you choose to use booking or scheduling features on your website, please note that certain calendar integrations may be limited depending on your Wix plan. On some plans, such as the Core plan, external calendar syncing can be restricted. This means you may only be able to use the built in Wix Calendar unless you upgrade to a higher plan that allows external sync options, such as Google Calendar. Availability of calendar syncing is controlled by Wix, not by Z DOES DESIGN.
Client Responsibilities for Wix Design:
You are responsible for selecting the appropriate Wix plan that aligns with your business needs and for covering all associated fees. We recommend reviewing Wix's offerings thoroughly to choose the plan that best suits your requirements.
You are responsible for providing all necessary content, images, and details for each page before the project begins. The standard turnaround time for website design is 7 to 28 working days, depending on our current workload, complexity of the project and the responsiveness of client communication. Any additional revisions beyond the included rounds or future maintenance work will be charged at £30 per hour. Any major changes may incur additional charges.
Payments for website design services are non-refundable, and failure to provide required content or feedback in a timely manner may result in project delays or termination.
Proofing & Approval
You will receive an electronic proof of your design for review and approval. It is your responsibility to thoroughly check the proof for:
-
Spelling and grammar errors
-
Missing or incorrect information
Please ensure when checking artwork before approving for print that all spelling, grammar, telephone numbers, addresses, etc are correct. Under no circumstances will we refund or reprint due to typos or grammatical errors once approved by the client.
Revisions & Major Changes
- We include two rounds of revisions to the initial design concepts.
- Major changes will incur an additional fee of £25 per change after the included revisions.
- A major change is defined as any alteration that significantly affects the design layout, structure, or overall direction of the project.
Client Responsibilities
- You are responsible for providing timely feedback and responding to communication promptly.
- Delays in feedback may result in project completion delays.
- We will make reasonable efforts to contact you, but it is your responsibility to respond to our messages.
- We are not responsible for delays or issues arising from missed or unacknowledged communications.
- Please ensure you check your junk or spam folders, as important updates or final files may occasionally be filtered there.
- We cannot be held responsible for missed communications due to email filtering.
Design Turnaround Time
Design turnaround takes from 1 day to 28 working days, depending on:
• Page count and project complexity for manual design
• Number of revisions needed
• How quickly you respond to feedback
• Our current workload
• Which design package has been purchased
If you require urgent work, please inform us in advance.
Printing Turnaround Time
(Printing is only available for United Kingdom)
- Once the design is approved, printing takes approximately 5 - 7 working days, depending on Royal Mail and the time of year.
- We are not responsible for postage delays or lost packages.
- If urgent printing is required, please notify us before the project starts.
Printing & Colour Accuracy
- Printed colours may differ from how they appear on screen due to RGB vs. CMYK differences.
- If exact colour accuracy is required, we recommend ordering a printed proof (£30 extra charge) before final production.
Design & Print Services
- Design work must be added to the cart separately from printing.
Use of Client Supplied Files
If you provide your own artwork files that were not designed by Z DOES DESIGN, and you have not paid for a print ready design service, we will not edit, fix, or adjust these files in any way. Files must be fully print ready before we can proceed with printing. Any work required to correct or prepare files must be purchased as a paid design service.
Portfolio Usage
- We reserve the right to showcase completed projects in our portfolio.
- If privacy concerns arise, please inform us before work begins.
Liability Clause
- We are not responsible for indirect damages resulting from design errors, website downtime, or missed deadlines due to delays in communication.
- If project delays occur due to client non-responsiveness, we are not liable for any negative impact on the client’s business.
Dispute Resolution
- In the event of a disagreement, both parties agree to first attempt mediation before taking legal action.
- Legal disputes will be governed by UK law.
Force Majeure Clause
- We are not responsible for delays caused by unforeseen events such as natural disasters, pandemics, power failures, or software malfunctions.
- If such events impact our ability to complete a project, we will communicate alternative solutions.
